You can't surf anywhere in the internet without finding a religious debate.
It's ridiculous, really. Atheists and Believers equally.
Believers, because they have to shove down god down your throat all the time. And telling you that you're going to hell if they don't like you. It's okay to be annoyed about them. I have relatives who are like that. They're annoying and I hate it when they're trying to make me feel bad for stuff I like. Somebody seriously tried to tell me that drawing humans was a sin. Funny thing, he didn't even read a religious book all his life. He just heard the bullshit some bigoted idiots were saying.
And atheists, you're no better. If there's something bad happening in the world, it's religion. Because generalizing things isn't as complicated as seeing the differences. It's not Religion, it's humans abusing it. Because many things are done by humans after all, and humans make mistakes (and use things for their own advantages). You know that religion forbids murder? You know that there are charities and hospitals because of religion? Just because some assholes think they can get away with everything when they put gods name on it doesn't mean that it's right or holy.
I'm not bashing anybody of these groups. I'm just saying that it's stupid to argue over something no one knows the truth about it. Nobody knows if there really is a god, or if he even is like the one in the bible, or just the Spaghetti-monster... You won't find out until you die.
And meanwhile... Have a nice cup of Shut the fuck up, stop wasting your time arguing with strangers about things nobody has a answer for and go outside.
You know, I saw this stamp and was going to point out that, actually, athiests do a big portion of the debating- but you've taken the words out of my ... fingertips? anyway, it's true :nods: personally, as a muslim, I don't mind sharing your beliefs. For example, drawing a picture about respect as a means of encouraging others I don't think is bad. It's just so annoying though when people argue, usually just for the sake of arguement and with no intention of getting anywhere, or when people come to your page and shove their beliefs, or lack of them, up your nose like a carrot. A much needed stamp.
I'm glad you approve of this. And actually, drawing is a "sin" in islam, because you should not draw god(s) and worship them. Same with sculptures. But who draws deities anyway?
Your profile says you want to learn german, so I say this: Ich bin froh, eine Muslima mit Hirn zu treffen.
Well I'm glad you're glad ^^ Well, drawing prophets, God and angels isn't supposed to be done for quite a few reason: we don't know what they look like (often you'll find dark skinned people draw Jesus as dark skinned, blondes drawings Jesus as blonde etc), and because, with God and angels, our drawings have errors, and we would therefore portray them with errors, and of course that's where worshiping idols etc come from. ;D I think you might have misunderstood what I meant haha XD i meant that I agree with you on the people who just have debates about religion wherever they go (seriously, I keep seeing this one person's account on pretty much every religious popular drawing arguing, and they haven't posted anything despite being on deviantart for seven years *facepalm*), but I DO think it's ok to post certain things. E.g, as a scarfie, I get a lot of people stereotyping me, or not knowing why I wear it, or I know other muslim girls who are too afraid of being judged, so with me it's okay to post something to explain why we dress the way we do, or to encourage other people, as long as you're not doing it with the intention of forcing your beliefs on someone else, or starting an arguement for no reason. I hope I'm making sense- please excuse me if I don't, I've been revising all day and I might be typing nonsense XD *rereads to check for typos*
ahh, das ist gut. Ich bin auch froh, eine Person auf deviantart mit Hirn zu sprechen
I know what you meant. That's why I didn't say something.
I mean, I'm a liberal muslim myself (even if I try to be neutral about my faith on this stamp because obvious reasons...) and personally I don't see the point in scarves. Because I read the Quran myself and I think it's rather disrespectful towards men to assume that they rape women if they don't cover up themselves. Or that women who don't cover themselves deserve to get raped. As it is in Saudi Arabia for example. You can be modest in different ways. Doesn't mean that I'm trying to attack girls who wear scarves, if it's their choice and they're happy with it's okay. I just don't want them to tell ME how to live my life. Because someone on here actually tried it on me.
Anyway, that's another topic. But you said already that religious debates are pointless, and yes they are and agreed.
ah okay. I don't want to start a religious debate or anything, but ukhti, I just want to say this- the reasoning behind hijab is not about rape, ^^ Nor does a non-hijabi woman deserve rape. Saudi Arabia isn't the voice of Allah- to be fair, most of us arabs have really bad governments. anyway, not trying to start a debate. Just making it clear to my dear sister that the point of hijab isn't rape ^-^ That's true. Well, they need to go an mind there own business. *frowns* haha. *hopes I didn't just defy the whole point of teh stamp haha*
uggg I know, I really hate extremist, even I that Im believe in God, I find them completly annoying, there's a friend of my Mother that is a complet ignorant, she tends to satanize all the drawings she don't like, is really a pain in the arse, I'm making a comic that have fantasy characteristics, with talking animals and all of that, and one day the friend of my mother see one of them, and oh that Fatass Bitch, give me and entire "lecture" of how my characters were ugly demons, and how much I need to talk with somebody that can "guide" me and help me with that "problem" because she acts like the supreme saint that can judge everyone, and think you draw demons just because you don't draw stupid sheeps!, ugggg she's just SOOOOOOOOOO hypocrite
and the other day talking with a friend of mine here, I told this to her, and she told me a similar problem that she have either(not with drawing but the pint was the same), and you know? we have the conclusion that, that kind of persons ruin the reputation of the persons that Believe in God, and we don't Blame the Ateist for not Believing in God, because the mayority of the persons who supposedly "evangelize", are just pathetic possers who just enjoy judge here and there like some kind of stupid retardeds with some kind of complex, and apparently acts like assholes help them to sleep at nights
Yeah, same way with myself. I'm not an atheist, but I loathe religious freaks. I can't take them seriously, because all they do is just twisting everything how they like it, which has hardly anything to do with faith at all... ._.
I know it can be annoying, to be affilated with them, but it doesn't matter. I hardly get problems because of my faith, because I'm not a dick about it and mostly, I'm not like them.

me too, Religion is a super-delicate thing to discuss, it almost always end in controversy and passive-agressive attacks
